You might have read about the tax benefits of donating automobiles on the web or in ads on television or in papers. You might even have considered donating but didn’t think that they would be interested in your truck when they could have a car. Your truck donation needn’t be one that still runs, most charities have funds with which to fix vehicles and when they can’t repair them they can often use them for parts or auction them off for profit that can be attributed to objectives that can benefit their cause.

As long as you are the owner of the vehicle and have the title and registration in your name you can donate it to the charity of your choice. You can fill out a form online or call the charity to let them know about your donation. Donation is easy once you’ve registered your donation to the charity. You can either have the vehicle towed away at no cost to you or drive it to the donation site yourself.
