There is a vehicle charity in almost every single town in the United States.  If you can’t find one, simply contact your local Red Cross and ask them to provide you with the name of a vehicle charity in your area.  You can also contact your local City Council and can receive the names of charities and organizations which accept car donations.

Just be sure to make sure that the charity you select provides you with a receipt for your vehicle donation so that you can use it come tax time.  There is no shame in being rewarded for the donation that you have made.  You will be helping a family in need and will also be catching a tax break with this single action.
