Looking To Donate Your Junk Car? The Red Cross Is Hoping You’ll Donate A Car Today

Posted on Wednesday 16 September 2009

Have you had a car sitting in your garage, drive or yard that just never seemed to run well or which hasn’t run for a long time? Donate junk car to charity. They take junk cars too? Yes they do. Even junk cars can be useful whether they can be repaired or used for parts for other donated cars; charities appreciate every donation they can get from car owners.

When you donate your junk car you offer underprivileged families a hand up so that they can get started on a better life by being better able to reach their place of employment and to other important places like the doctor and grocery stores without walking. When you donate a junk car you also put a car to use that might otherwise have gone to waste, not only that you also get a tax benefit that saves you money at tax time. What’s not great about that?

So who’s looking for your donation? The Red Cross takes donated cars all across the country. How do you offer the Red Cross donated car? Call your local chapter of the Red Cross and ask for information about where to drop off your donation or how you can have the car picked up from your home. The Red Cross appreciates your donated junk car and will do everything they can to help you in the process. Often it can even be picked up from your home while you’re away.

The Red Cross will take donated car information and questions through their toll free number 1-800-737-0265 or their website at www.charitydispatch.com. Be sure to have your vehicle’s title, mileage and registration when you call or visit the website to fill out the donation form. All cars must be owned and paid for by the person donating them.
