Have you given any thought about charitable car donations? If you don’t think that you should donate you car you may be missing out on a great way to save money on your taxes and help the people in need. Here is some of the information that I was able to find when I researched how to donate my car to charity.

The first thing I that I found out is that it is actually much easier to donate a vehicle than I thought possible. I was worried that I would need to arrange pick up or that getting a tax receipt would be difficult or time consuming. That was definitely not the case. There are so many vehicle donation websites that can do the work of picking up the vehicle that all I had to do was choose which one I wanted to use.

I liked the fact that I didn’t have to arrange to drop the vehicle off and I also liked the fact that I could choose the charity I wanted to support. It was nice to know that I could select one with national impact or one that supported people in need in my own community. It was also incredibly helpful to know that there was still a tax deduction possible even if the vehicle was no longer running.

All I needed to do was arrange a time to have my car picked up, sign over the ownership form to the charity I had selected, and have everything ready for when the company came by. It was simple and easy and I felt better knowing that a car that was of no more use to me was still helping other people.
