Lowell Association for the Blind
The Lowell Association for the Blind (LAB) was founded in 1923, and remains the only local, community based non-profit agency that serves the needs of over 400 blind and visually impaired individuals living in the Greater Lowell / Merrimack Valley community. Since its inception 80 years ago, LAB has expanded to fill a vital community need which provides the blind and visually impaired with access to the resources and services so crucial to their lives. LAB is committed to fostering independence and empowerment in the people it serves, as well as providing a vital human connection between individuals. LAB offers a variety of programs that allow participants of all ages to engage in activities that many had never imagined possible.
